Climb Parc du Mont Boron for sweeping views of Nice, its bay, and the mountains beyond. Follow the woodland trails, picnic with a view, and perhaps hike down toward Villefranche-sur-Mer.
Full description
Parc du Mont Boron rises above the eastern end of Nice's bay, offering a network of trails through Mediterranean woodland with outlooks over the old town, the beachfront, the new town, and the mountains behind. Picnic tables and benches are scattered along the paths, and small offshoot loops reward walkers who explore beyond the main route.
Some visitors hike up from the old town in about an hour and continue down the far side toward Villefranche-sur-Mer. Plan roughly two hours, with high walking effort on the climbs.
