Join the line at Fòla, a lively Milan bakery worth the short wait. Choose from laminated pastries, cinnamon rolls and savoury danishes, and add a cappuccino.
Full description
Fòla is a neighbourhood bakery and café where the pastry work draws the attention: reviewers praise the lamination of the pain au chocolat and inventive items like a tomato and mozzarella danish. Beyond the morning pastry counter, it serves a healthy lunch buffet of salads and offers brunch on weekends.
The room fills up and a queue can form, though it moves quickly, and prices for pastries with cappuccino are considered good value. It is closed on Mondays and suits a stylish breakfast, coffee break or light lunch.
