Wander through Parque del Oeste, Madrid's tree-lined escape in Moncloa-Aravaca. Follow the shaded paths to the rose garden, then continue on to the Egyptian temple and the city views beyond.
Full description
Parque del Oeste is a large landscaped park in the Moncloa-Aravaca district, laid out in the 20th century with winding paths past conifers and cedars. Reviewers describe it as more of a mini forest than a city park, leading towards the rose garden and the Egyptian temple of Debod and offering views over the city from the far end.
The free rose garden is a highlight in spring, and the calm paths near the universities suit long strolls. It is open around the clock, well maintained, and easy to combine with the Royal Palace area.

Amazing! It's more than a relaxing city park. It's a mini forest that leads you to the rose garden and Egyptian temple ro the Royal Palace. It is great for a city time out. During nice Spring days everyone is reading or sleeping on a blanket or taking a lunch break. This is Madrid!
