Look up at Madrid Planetarium, where a domed theatre turns the ceiling into the night sky. Watch an immersive astronomy show, then browse the small exhibition and telescopes.
Full description
Madrid Planetarium features a domed projection theatre where astronomy shows, such as ones about eclipses, are presented as immersive visuals in a comfortable setting. A small exhibition area, including displays on space missions, and telescopes complete the visit.
It is more of a show-focused stop than a hands-on science centre, and one family reviewer wished for more interactive exhibits for children. Prices are budget-friendly and sessions run in the morning and early evening on most days, with Monday closed.
It suits families and curious visitors looking for a calm, educational break.

We like visiting planetariums wherever we go. Wish this one had more/any interactive exhibits for the kids. (Check out Salt Lake City or Taipei for great examples.) The show was about eclipses…can’t blame Spain for that in ‘26, but it’s much less fun than shows zooming through galaxies. Nice theater though.
