Dishoom King's Cross

4.8 (19,884)$$ · Mid-range

Dishoom King's Cross recreates the atmosphere of Bombay's vanishing Irani cafés inside a striking industrial space near Granary Square, complete with ceiling fans, worn tile floors, and old photographs on the walls. The menu draws on Bombay street food and colonial-era café classics, with the bacon naan roll and house chai among its most talked-about dishes. At a 4.8 rating across nearly 20,000 reviews, it has become one of London's most consistently popular breakfast destinations, and its very high must-see score reflects genuine mass appeal rather than a niche following. Expect a lively, bustling room rather than a quiet morning coffee.

What people say

"Dishoom has been on my list for a while - I’m a huge fan of desi / South Asian cuisine. Needless to say, this place blew me away. It’s a high quality culinary experience from the second you walk through the door and all staff are absolutely incredible. The place is beautifully decorated and there is a vast array of options on the menu. We just opted for a drink and main but I would definitely like to return to try some of the small plates. I ordered the Chef’s Special - Lamb Shank Biryani - which was possibly the best biryani I’ve ever had!!! It was fragrant, spicy, and came with a beautiful sauce. The meat was also cooked beautifully. The bottomless house chai was also incredible!! The rest of the party thoroughly enjoyed. We did manage to book - was relatively busy at the time, but a nice atmosphere. Can’t wait to return, well worth the money! All meat is halal too."
