Explore the Nowa Huta Cultural Centre, a local hub far from the Old Town crowds. See the moody Beksinski collection, then stay for a pizza as the light fades.
Full description
The Nowa Huta Cultural Centre sits in the eastern district built as a socialist-realist model town, and it offers a different Krakow from the medieval core. Reviewers highlight the Beksinski collection, which uses dramatic lighting and classical music to create a haunting atmosphere, alongside activities for children such as the natural science workshops.
A pizza place on site draws praise for its rustic dough and sunset atmosphere. It is free to enter and suits a relaxed visit of around 45 minutes, particularly for anyone exploring Nowa Huta and wanting a local, less touristy perspective.

Really great center with very well curated exhibitions. I discovered a new painter while visiting my favourite : Beksinski. His exhibition is very immersive. I would have liked it if I had more souvenir options.
