Church of St. Anne

4.8 ·

Pause inside the Church of St. Anne, a Baroque interior glowing with gold. Look up at the painted ceiling and study the gilded angels and reliefs in about twenty minutes.

📖

Full description

Completed in 1703, the Church of St. Anne is one of Krakow's finest Baroque interiors, filled with gilded angel sculptures, relief work and a painted ceiling.

Reviewers praise the atmosphere, the sculptures and the way light plays inside, and several name it their favourite church in the city. Entry is free and a visit takes around 20 minutes, which fits easily into a walk through Stare Miasto.

It appeals to architecture lovers and to anyone wanting a more ornate counterpart to the city's Gothic churches.
