Settle in at Safa Meyhanesi, one of Istanbul's oldest tavern-style restaurants. Share a table of mezze with fish and salad in a characterful room and take your time over the evening.
Full description
Safa Meyhanesi is described by reviewers as one of the oldest restaurants in Istanbul, and the old, distinctive room is a large part of its draw. The menu follows the classic meyhane formula of shared mezze, fish and salads, with side dishes the best-liked element and the owner remembered as cheerful.
Feedback on the main dishes is mixed, with comments on dry liver and overpriced bills, so it works best as a atmosphere-first meal for couples or small groups rather than a culinary pilgrimage. Open from noon to midnight, it suits a slow two-hour evening.

Reviews
One of oldest restaurant in Istanbul. There is no special dishes. All foods are same as other restaurants. How ever the prices are more expensive than Michelin Star restaurants.
