Visit Kucuksu Pavilion, a small Neo-Baroque palace sitting right on the Bosphorus. Tour its two floors of decorated rooms, then enjoy the waterfront setting that made it a sultan's summer retreat.
Full description
Kucuksu Pavilion is a compact Neo-Baroque palace on the Asian shore of the Bosphorus, commissioned by Sultan Abdulmecid as a summer residence. Its two floors contain decorated interiors and good craftsmanship, and visitors appreciate that it is easy to see in a short visit, around 45 minutes.
The waterside setting adds to the appeal, and it fits well into a day of visiting several Bosphorus palaces. Photography inside is not permitted, which some visitors find frustrating, but the exterior and the shoreline setting remain easy to enjoy.
It is closed on Mondays.

A small but charming palace with beautifully decorated interiors. Easy to explore in a short visit, and the Bosphorus setting makes it even more enjoyable. Worth including if you're visiting several historic residences.
