Start your morning at Pasticceria Gualtieri, a Florentine pastry bar that regulars and visitors keep coming back to. Order a doppio and a slice of olive oil cake, then return around lunchtime for the tomato focaccia.
Full description
Pasticceria Gualtieri is the kind of neighbourhood bar locals return to daily, and reviewers say the same of visitors who find it. The olive oil cake is a repeat favourite, while the focaccia with tomato appears as the savoury pick closer to lunch.
Coffee, juices and pastries all draw praise, as does the speed and warmth of the service. Space is limited and it fills up quickly, so this is a stand-at-the-counter or short-stay stop rather than a place to settle in.
It suits a quick, authentic Florentine breakfast.

One of my favorite bars in Florence. Great pastry and coffee. I love their olive oil cake and closer to lunch their focaccia with tomato. This place can get quite busy and there is not a ton of space to sit so keep that in mind.
