📖

Full description

The Museo Ferragamo sits in the same medieval palazzo as the Ferragamo boutique and tells the story of shoe and fashion history through the life of Salvatore Ferragamo. Exhibitions show how he worked with materials, colour and inspiration, with period shoes on display, including an 18-carat gold sandal that reviewers single out.

Visitors describe it as larger than expected and well curated, with plenty to read about craftsmanship from the 1930s onward. A visit takes around 45 minutes, and opening hours run into the early evening.

Reviews

Love the history and how beautifully curated the exhibition was. Lots to read and just be in awe of the craftsmanship of a past era. I would happily buy and wear some of the shoes from the 1930's! Stop by the boutique - Olga was lovely and proud to be working for the Ferragamo family.
