📖

Full description

Museo di Palazzo Davanzati is set in a 14th-century palazzo and presents a domestic interior from the period, filled with antiques, lace items and artworks. Reviewers describe the atmosphere as vivid, singling out the painted rooms and the old furniture and decor, and note that it feels far calmer than most of Florence's headline sights.

An elevator allows visitors to go up first and work their way down through the floors. Guided tours are available, and about an hour is enough, making it a good fit for couples and anyone drawn to historic interiors.

Reviews

A wonderful place if you enjoy historic interiors and old decor and furniture. At around 12 pm on Friday it was pretty empty, if you want to walk around not bothered by other people. The painted rooms and original furniture were absolutely gorgeous.
