James Joyce Centre

4.3 ·

Step into the James Joyce Centre, a Georgian town house in Rotunda devoted to Dublin's most famous novelist. Explore Joyce's writing table, period rooms and a cozy living room that feels more like a home than a museum.

📖

Full description

The James Joyce Centre occupies an elegantly restored Georgian town house dating from 1784 in the Rotunda area, focusing on the life and work of the author of Ulysses. Rooms include a homely living room where visitors can pick up a book, and displays featuring Joyce's writing table.

It is quiet and compact, suiting readers and solo visitors, and the centre also hosts events such as Bloomsday celebrations. Around 45 minutes is enough for the collection.

Reviews

I walked in the Footsteps of Leopold Bloom. This walk was so well done, it was the greatest experience in Ireland, with Irish culture and the inspiring work of James Joyce. Thank you for that!
