Terézváros is the 6th district of Pest, a central neighbourhood defined by Andrássy Avenue, one of the city's grandest tree-lined boulevards, and the dense network of streets around it. Neo-Renaissance mansions, the opera house, theatres, and cafés give it a strong cultural character, while side streets such as Liszt Ferenc Square and the so-called Broadway quarter fill with terraces and bars after dark.
