Reuterkiez

Reuterkiez takes its name from Reuterplatz and covers the stretch of Neukölln along the Landwehr Canal that has become one of Berlin's densest concentrations of bars, cafés, and small restaurants catering to a young, heavily international crowd. Weserstraße is its main artery, transformed within the past decade from an unremarkable residential street into a strip of cocktail bars and late-night hangouts that rivals Kreuzberg's nightlife. It sits directly across the canal from Kreuzberg's Maybachufer market, making the two areas feel like one continuous scene despite the district border. Rents and character here have shifted quickly, and longtime residents and newcomers still visibly coexist rather than one having fully replaced the other.
