Oberbaumbrücke

Oberbaumbrücke was built in the 1890s in a neo-Gothic style with brick turrets modeled on medieval city gates, carrying road traffic below and the U1 U-Bahn line above on its distinctive double-decker structure. During the Cold War it marked a border crossing between East and West Berlin, and today it connects the nightlife-heavy Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain districts, with the East Side Gallery's stretch of the Wall running along the riverbank nearby. Its aesthetic score is among the highest in this batch, and it's a favorite spot for sunset photos with the Spree and the Molecule Man sculpture visible downstream. A quick 20-minute stop, it works best as a scenic waypoint rather than a destination in itself.
