Full description

The Design Museum of Barcelona, known locally as the DHub, sits inside a distinctly modern, angular building on Plaça de les Glòries and covers decorative arts, fashion, graphic design, and product design across several floors. Reviews are consistently positive at 4.5 stars from over 9,000 visitors, with a near-perfect aesthetic score reflecting the building and displays alike, though some floors — the graphic design section in particular — draw more mixed reactions than others.

Its high culture score suggests real substance behind the sleek presentation, and it works well as a change of pace from Barcelona's Gothic and Modernisme-heavy sightseeing. It rewards visitors with a genuine interest in design over those simply ticking off major museums.

Reviews

Really liked the museum. The common objects and materials exhibition were really good. The graphic design floor was a bit underwhelming and boring, could be more explanatory and interactive. The temporary exhibitions didn’t have English translation and that ruined my experience there. Nevertheless a good museum
