Discover Three Little Bottles, a cosy historic tasting bar tucked behind the Nieuwe Kerk. Sample a range of jenevers and Dutch beers with cheese or cured meats in a room full of old Amsterdam character.

📖

Full description

Three Little Bottles, known in Dutch as De Drie Fleschjes, is a small tasting house hidden behind the Nieuwe Kerk near Dam Square. Its antique interior and long list of jenever, the Dutch forerunner of gin, set it apart from the city's usual brown cafes, and reviewers also praise the beer selection and the knowledgeable bartender.

Dutch cheeses and cured meats are on offer alongside the drinks. The room is small and can fill up, so it suits a relaxed afternoon or early-evening stop rather than a long session.

Reviews

Amazing bar full of history! They have tons of really good beer, and the bartender is incredibly knowledgeable. We tried the beer and jenevers, both of which were amazing. The bar could get quite packed later in the day; we had the luck of showing up just ahead of the crowd.
