Diamond Museum Amsterdam

3.8 ·

Step into the Diamond Museum Amsterdam, tucked behind the Rijksmuseum. Trace a diamond from mine to jewel, admire replica crowns, and finish in the on-site jewellery store.

📖

Full description

Located in Amsterdam-Zuid at the back of the Rijksmuseum, the Diamond Museum follows the diamond from mine to finished jewel across two floors of a cosy building. Displays cover the geology of diamonds, the cities involved in the diamond trade and the work of cutters and smiths, along with ornate replica crowns and a jewellery store at the end.

Reviewers find it interactive but small, and some expected more depth. It suits families, older visitors and anyone who enjoys decorative craft, and it is free with a museum card.

An hour is typical.
