Wander Vienna's Central Cemetery, a huge parkland resting place for the city's artists. Seek out the composers' section and the Mozart memorial among decorated graves and tree-lined paths.
Full description
Vienna's Central Cemetery is a vast, multi-denominational parkland where many well-known artists and composers are buried. The composers' section includes the Mozart memorial, and visitors also come for elaborate headstones and quiet contemplation.
Because of its size, plan around 90 minutes and expect a fair amount of walking. It lies in Simmering, roughly 30 to 40 minutes from the centre, and the tram is the straightforward way to reach it.
Reviewers describe it as well laid out, peaceful and interesting for anyone drawn to funerary art and music history.

Reviews
This is a very interesting place to go and quietly contemplate things, as well as see the various decorated graves. There are some very intricate and unique headstones, and famous ones, like that of Falco. The church has a beautiful interior, and I was lucky to see a sunset and double rainbow after rain.
