Oriental Art Museum in Venice

Climb to the top of Ca' Pesaro to find the Oriental Art Museum. Study Edo-era prints, samurai armor and everyday objects collected by a prince on a year-long Asian journey.

📖

Full description

The Oriental Art Museum occupies the top floor of Ca' Pesaro and displays a large collection of Edo-era Japanese prints, metalwork, samurai armor, domestic objects and paintings, gathered by Prince Enrico di Borbone during a year-long tour of Asia. Reviewers are struck by the sheer amount on show and the variety of artifacts.

It makes an unusual counterpoint to Venice's Renaissance focus and suits culture seekers looking for something different. Around 45 minutes is enough, and it is included in the multi-museum Venice pass.

Reviews

Very awesome place to visit. Theres lots to do and see in and around this area, they have several museums to check out and various types of historical artifacts, statues, antiques, paintings and artwork. I really enjoyed my time here and it was definitely worth the visit. I would most certainly recommend checking this…
