Walk through Plaza de España, Seville's grand semicircle of towers, canal and tiled bridges. Find the ceramic alcoves for each province and take in the central fountain at an easy pace.

📖

Full description

Plaza de España is a huge semicircular square built for the 1929 Ibero-American Exposition, edged by a long pavilion with two towers and a canal crossed by decorative bridges. Painted ceramic benches line the walls, each representing a Spanish province.

Reviewers highlight the architecture, the central fountain and the photo opportunities, and mention flamenco performances taking place in the square. It can be busy but remains easy to enjoy.

Entry is free and the square stays open until midnight, so it suits both daytime and evening visits.
