Step into Parque Miraflores, Seville's largest park and a favourite with northern-district locals. Stroll beside the lake, follow the shaded paths, or join the joggers on the running track.
Full description
Parque Miraflores, whose name roughly means 'look at flowers', is a large modern park laid out in the late 1980s and early 1990s as Seville expanded northwards. Covering about 90 hectares and built around two former Roman orchards, it combines a lake, open lawns and walking paths with a running track that reviewers single out.
It draws local families, joggers and walkers rather than visitors, and some paths offer views across the surrounding landscape. Open from early morning until midnight, it suits a relaxed hour of walking at almost any time of day.
