Pull up at Bar Casa Morales, a bottle-lined family tavern serving old-school tapas and sherry. Work through classics like oxtail, meatballs and Russian salad in a room that feels unchanged by time.

📖

Full description

Bar Casa Morales is a family-run tavern in the Casco Antiguo that has kept a classic look, with walls lined with bottles and a traditional main bar plus a quirkier, darker room at the back. The menu centres on traditional tapas, sherry and Spanish wines, and reviewers single out dishes such as sirloin in cream sauce, Russian salad, pork loin pringá, meatballs and oxtail.

It is budget-friendly, takes no reservations, and is often packed, so a short wait for a spot is common. It suits a relaxed lunch or an evening tapas stop.

Reviews

Great way to experience tapas! The food is delicious, and on a hot day it’s a cooler escape from the heat. We tried a range of tapas, pork cheek being the favourite. When in Seville a trip to Bar Casa Morales is a must do. Be brave with tables- just jump at any space that comes up- seems to be the Spanish way.
