Charles Bridge

4.8 ·

Walk Charles Bridge, the stone span that has tied Old Town to Malá Strana for centuries. Cross between statues and street performers while the river, the castle and the Old Town rooftops unfold around you.

📖

Full description

Charles Bridge links the Old Town and Malá Strana across the Vltava and is among the most recognisable landmarks in Prague. The 14th-century stone bridge is lined with statues and is open to pedestrians around the clock, with street artists and entertainers working along its length.

It is rarely quiet, and crowds are heaviest during the day and into the evening, but the views of the river, Prague Castle and the Old Town skyline explain the draw. A crossing takes about 20 minutes at an unhurried pace, and the atmosphere shifts noticeably depending on the hour.

In the late evening you can look for city’s local…
