Head out to Břevnov Monastery, a Benedictine complex founded in 993 on the western edge of the city. Wander the park, learn how Romanesque, Gothic and baroque layers fit together, and finish with a beer from the monastery brewery.
Full description
Břevnov Monastery in western Prague dates back to 993 and traces centuries of building in a single complex, from a Romanesque crypt and Gothic undergrounds to the baroque church designed by Dientzenhofer. The grounds include a park open to the public, with views of the monastery from the Orangerie, plus a hotel and a restaurant serving beer brewed on site.
Guided visits cover the older architectural layers, though the church itself is not always accessible without one. Allow around 45 minutes, longer if you stop for lunch, in a quiet setting away from the central crowds.

Reviews
Relaxing walk inside the park, open to the public. Beautiful views on the monastery from the Orangerie. The place is absolutely charming. Sadly, we couldn't access the church and saw it only from behind the glass window/gate.
