Full description

Taylor's, founded in 1692, opens its cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia for a self-paced visit led by an audio guide available in thirteen languages. The commentary covers port production, the Douro vineyards and the development of the house, including its dry white and Late Bottled Vintage styles.

The visit ends with samples of Chip Dry, LBV and ten-year-old Tawny, while children receive Douro grape juice. Visitors also mention time spent in the gardens.

Specialist masterclasses are separate offerings, and some reviewers found parts of the audio commentary quite detailed.
