Step into Porto's Pharmacy Museum and discover how people healed themselves across centuries and continents. Browse old apothecary objects, study the timelines and admire the recreated Portuguese and Ottoman-style pharmacies.
Full description
Porto's Pharmacy Museum is a compact collection devoted to the history of medicines, apothecaries and healing traditions from around the world. Its main draw is the set of reconstructed pharmacies, including Portuguese and Ottoman-style interiors, alongside timelines and a range of old instruments and jars.
Reviewers, including a pharmacy student, describe it as a miniature version of a large medical-history museum, though some sections could use more detail. Open on weekdays and Saturday with a lunch break, it works well as a short, inexpensive stop of about 45 minutes.

Small but interesting museum about the history of medicine. Quite a nice little collection of objects. The replicas of old style Portuguese and ottoman pharmacies were very nice.
