Musée Guimet houses extensive collections spanning Afghanistan, India, Southeast Asia, China, Korea, Japan and the Himalayan world, including sculpture, ceramics and textiles. Spread across three sites near place d'Iéna, it presents both permanent holdings and temporary exhibitions, such as one on Silla-era Korean treasures.

A research library and auditorium support its role as a center for Asian art scholarship.

Reviews

A small and cozy museum — at least compared to the Louvre. Definitely worth spending an hour here. If you’ve been to Angkor Wat in Cambodia, you’ll find some of the missing fragments of its statues here. A very unexpected discovery. The icing on the cake is the rooftop lounge area with a beautiful view.
