"One of the highlights of my trip. I came on a whim after strolling through Place Vendome and realizing where I was. A tiny literary-themed bar in a luxury hotel? Say no more. The staff was very friendly and very engaged. Yes there was a queue but I expected it (there’s only room for about 30 people) and the ambience made up for the wait. The space felt both intimate and social. I was seated at an alcove by a small bookcase (the perfect spot for a solo guest). I highly suggest flipping through some of the books in this alcove if you’re seated here… there are hidden surprises. Martini was fantastic and frigid. The old fashioned was fine (could use a more unique approach). Snacks and food were great. People complaining about the tourists in some of the comments - surprise! it’s a hotel not sure what you expect. Definitely will return the next time I’m in Paris!"
