Tackle the Sentier Nietzsche, the winding trail that tumbles from Èze village toward the sea. Pick your way down rocky switchbacks, pausing at open viewpoints over the Mediterranean before reaching the shore.
Full description
The Sentier Nietzsche is a free, always-open hiking trail that drops from the hilltop village of Èze toward the shoreline on the Riviera. It is a genuine walk rather than a stroll: reviewers describe rocky, sometimes slippery sections and a descent that takes longer than the mapped estimate, with a typical outing running around two and a half hours.
The sea views draw couples and solo walkers alike, and the path is at its most pleasant in the cooler hours of the morning or late afternoon.

If you want to do it, start from Eze and go down. The sea views are nicer, and it’s much less effort. Eze itself isn’t really worth it, so you’ll save your breath too.
