📖

Full description

Lou Pilha Leva is a fast, casual stop in Nice that gathers the city's classic street snacks under one roof, notably socca and pissaladière, which reviewers rate highly. Prices are budget-friendly and a visit takes about 30 minutes, so it fits easily between sights.

Opinions on the food are mixed: some enjoy the cheap wine, service and atmosphere, while others note reheated items and a bland result, so expect convenience and local flavour rather than fine cooking. It opens through the afternoon and into the evening, with no booking needed, and suits solo travellers, groups and anyone sampling Niçoise specialities on a tight budget.

Reviews

We came here a couple of times on our week in Nice. Ideal for some cheap wine and little snacks. The food doesn’t blow you away and was a bit off putting to see them microwaving a few things but we still enjoyed the mussels and an apple tart. Service was good and nice spot to watch the world go by in the old town.
