Chapelle du Saint-Sépulcre

4.4 ·

Pause at Chapelle du Saint-Sépulcre on Place Garibaldi, one of Nice's quieter chapels. Step in during its open window and then admire the painted facades around the square.

📖

Full description

Chapelle du Saint-Sépulcre sits on Place Garibaldi and is one of Nice's lesser-known religious buildings. Free public visits are limited to a single weekly window, with commented visits arranged for groups, and Mass held in the small chapel at set times.

Reviewers say there is not a lot to see inside, though they find the painted facades of the surrounding buildings an interesting detail of the square. A visit takes about fifteen minutes, so it works as a brief add-on to a walk around Place Garibaldi rather than a destination in itself.

Reviews

Not much to see here. The “Old look” on the buildings around is only painted on the buildings. This is very interesting.
