Escape the seafront and head up to Cascade de Gairaut, a 19th-century waterfall tucked into the hills above Nice. Admire the falls, peek into the cavern, and photograph the Swiss-style chalet in a quiet, leafy setting.
Full description
Cascade de Gairaut is a picturesque waterfall built in the late 19th century at the end of the Canal de Gairaut, in the hills north of central Nice. A cavern and a Swiss-style chalet sit alongside the falls, making it as much a landscaped curiosity as a natural stop.
Entry is free and the grounds open early, so it suits a quiet morning visit. Reviewers say there is not a great deal to do beyond the falls and the views, but the setting rewards photographers and couples looking for a calm 45-minute outing away from the seafront.

Reviews
There isn't much to see, but the views are worth seeing. A beautiful place with a waterfall, we were there in December, the weather was good and we captured beautiful photos of memories
