Explore Westpark, Munich's garden-rich park where Japanese, Chinese, Thai and Nepalese corners sit beside rose beds and a calm lake. Stroll the paths, climb the hill, and linger by the water.
Full description
Westpark is one of Munich's best-loved public parks, combining wide lawns and a lake with a set of Asian cultural gardens, including Japanese, Chinese, Thai and Nepalese areas. Rose beds and an open-air floating stage host music, film and theatre in season.
Reviewers praise the upkeep, the ducks on the water and a hill west of the lake that is good for climbing, while runners use the paths daily. It is free and open around the clock, and around 75 minutes covers the highlights, though families often spend the whole day.

Reviews
Truly gorgeous. The three cultural Asian parks within were serene, accurate representations of their respective cultures. Really beautiful park, worth the walk from town. Whilst the whole park is large, I recommend bee-lining to the Chinese, Thai and Japanese gardens.
