Müller’sches Volksbad (Hallenbad)

Swim in history at Müller'sches Volksbad, Munich's Art Nouveau bathing palace in Haidhausen. Take laps in the ornate pools, soak in the Roman bath, and finish with a break at the cafe.

📖

Full description

Müller'sches Volksbad is a historic public bath on the Isar riverbank in Au-Haidhausen, opened in 1901 and designed in Art Nouveau style. It has a large and a small swimming pool, a Roman-style bath and a cafe, and visitors come as much for the architecture as for the swim.

Reviewers highlight the beauty of the building and how clean and well kept it is, with staff praised for their care. The locker key system confuses some first-time visitors, and sauna tickets work differently from standard entry.

Prices are budget-friendly, and a tram ride from the centre gets you there.
