Spend an afternoon at Flaucher, the Isar's most relaxed riverside spot in southern Munich. Wade into the shallows, lay out a picnic on the gravel banks, and finish with a drink at the beer garden.
Full description
Flaucher is a stretch of the Isar's banks in the south of Munich, where wide lawns, gravel beaches and shallow river channels draw crowds on summer days. Visitors swim, picnic, grill in the designated areas or simply sit by the water, and a beer garden provides food and drink on site.
The mood is relaxed and unpretentious, with people arriving by bike or on foot along the river paths. Public services such as toilets and food stalls are limited, so it pays to arrive with your own supplies and plan accordingly.

Perfect atmosphere. Open air, sun and water.. People are smiling. I had one of my best days there. Don’t expect for public services like bathroom, food etc.
