Head to the DAV climbing centre in south Munich, where indoor halls and outdoor walls make for a huge playground. Boulder, lead climb or simply meet fellow climbers over a beer or cake at the cafe.
Full description
The DAV climbing and bouldering centre in south Munich is run by the German Alpine Club and is among the largest climbing facilities in the world. It combines two indoor halls with several outdoor areas, covering bouldering, lead climbing and routes for climbers without a partner.
Regulars praise the sheer variety of routes and the friendly, community-minded atmosphere, which feels cosy despite the size. A cafe serving cakes and beers gives climbers a place to socialise between attempts.
Opening hours run late into the evening, so it suits both early starts and after-work sessions.

Reviews
This is an amazing climbing hall. Does not matter if you are into bouldering, do not have a partner for climbing or go regular lead climbing. Lots of variaty in challengs and routes.
