Climb Monte Stella, the grassy hill rising above western Milan, for a wide view of the city. Reach the top in about ten minutes, then lie back on the grass and watch the skyline.
Full description
Monte Stella is an artificial hill in a park outside the city centre, reached by a roughly ten-minute climb to the top. From the summit visitors get a full-circle view of the Milan skyline, and on very clear days reviewers report seeing mountains far in the distance.
It is open 24 hours and free, and the grassy top is a popular place to lie down and look out over the city. Sunset is a favourite moment, and the walk is gentle enough for most visitors within a one-hour outing.

Lovely place for a short walk. In particular for sunset. Sometimes you can see mountains 150km away... But needs to be a very clear day.
