Visit the Modern Art Gallery, an 18th-century mansion with a taste for Italian painting and sculpture. See works by Cezanne and Gauguin, plus Zandomeneghi canvases glowing with colour and light.

📖

Full description

The Modern Art Gallery occupies a grand 18th-century mansion and exhibits Italian art and sculpture, plus pieces by Cezanne and Gauguin. Visitors report that parts of the building have been closed for renovation, so the permanent collection feels smaller than advertised, though temporary exhibitions such as a Paul Troubetzkoy show were well received.

Reviewers mention works full of color and light by artists they had not heard of, including Zandomeneghi. It is included in the Museum Card covering Milan's civic museums.

Plan about an hour. It is closed on Mondays.

Reviews

Went for the Paul Troubetzoy, great exhibition! The permanent collection is rather small, some beautiful works, my personal fav is Zandomeneghi. Think there is still another floor that is under renovation, though they didnt inform it on the website.
