Darsena di Milano

4.4 ·

Walk the edge of the Darsena, Milan's old canal port, at the start of the Navigli. Wander the waterside walkways, browse the markets and settle in for a coffee or evening drink.

📖

Full description

The Darsena was built in 1603 as a mooring for boats and today is a small reservoir that anchors a lively waterside area. Walkways, restaurants, cafés and markets surround the water, and visitors recommend stopping for a coffee or drink before continuing along the Navigli canals.

It is open at all hours, with an easy, quiet vibe in the daytime and more activity in the evening. Reviewers note that approaching on foot from the eastern side of the city is awkward because of a busy road without pedestrian crossings.

Allow about 45 minutes.

Reviews

It was nice to walk around and chill. It's probably worded during the right season but, personally, I liked the quite vibe.
