📖

Full description

Toma Café 1 is one of Madrid's best-known specialty coffee addresses in the Centro district, with more than 3,500 reviews and a 4.4 rating. Visitors praise its espresso shots, including single-origin offerings from places like Bolivia and India, which reviewers describe as clean and free of bitterness.

The food side draws mixed opinions, with the Turkish eggs criticised, so coffee is the reason to come. Some note drinks arriving less hot than expected, a common trait of Madrid cafés.

Reviews

Good coffee but skip the Turkish eggs, it was the worst I have eaten in the city. Not with poached or soft boiled egg, it was almost a raw egg, no salt or herbs, tasteless sauce. Couldn’t eat it
