Temple of Debod

4.4 ·

Watch the sun set behind the Temple of Debod, a real Egyptian temple rebuilt in a Madrid park. Stroll around its reflecting pools, step inside the small museum, and enjoy the open city views.

📖

Full description

The Temple of Debod is an authentic Egyptian temple that was dismantled in Aswan and reassembled in a park in western Madrid, where it now sits beside reflecting pools with a small museum attached. Entry to the grounds is free and a visit takes around half an hour, though many people linger for the open views across the park and city.

Reviewers highlight it as one of Madrid's most atmospheric viewpoints, especially around sunset, and as a romantic stop for couples. The temple interior is closed on Mondays.
