Cross the Puente de Toledo, a baroque bridge from the early 18th century lit up at night. Walk its arches, then follow the river bank through the park the locals use for walking, running and cycling.
Full description
The Puente de Toledo was built between 1719 and 1724 and has been restored as a baroque-style pedestrian bridge with a series of arches and night illumination. Located in the Carabanchel area, it is valued by locals as part of a wider riverside park where people walk, run and cycle.
Reviewers mention musicians often playing on the bridge and a few cafes and bars along the river bank. It is a short, free stop that gives a more local view of Madrid away from the central sights, and it is open at all hours.

Went for a run along it the morning and have been walking it in the afternoons since! The whole park is just beautiful. The bridge often has someone playing music. Very nice place to enjoy some outdoor time with more space! Lots of beautiful nature all along the river. You can walk it all the way to the palace! Love…
