La Serrería Belga

Step into La Serrería Belga, a 1925 wood factory turned free cultural centre in central Madrid. Walk through its restored industrial halls and take in the current exhibition at an unhurried pace.

📖

Full description

La Serrería Belga occupies a former wood-processing factory established by a Belgian company in 1925, converted into a cultural centre between 2007 and 2013. Entry is free, and the space hosts rotating exhibitions that reviewers describe as interesting and well put together.

Visitors also mention the professional, organised staff, particularly around the Espacio Iberia experience held on site. The industrial architecture is part of the draw, and the venue is compact enough to see in about 45 minutes.

It works well as a low-key, solo-friendly stop in central Madrid, away from the main museum crowds.
