Wander into Dehesa de la Villa, a hilly woodland park where Madrid locals jog, cycle and picnic under tall pines. Follow the dirt trails to the lookout point for views over the rooftops.
Full description
Dehesa de la Villa is a big, forest-like green space in Moncloa-Aravaca, planted with cedar, poplar, pine and ash. Mostly dirt paths cross its hills, with a few paved routes and an official lookout point offering views across the city.
It functions as a local playground for jogging, cycling, ball games and quiet reading on the grass, and several kiosks serve food and drinks. Reviewers describe it as underrated and peaceful.
Given its size and terrain, a walk here takes over an hour and involves real climbing.

Reviews
I am amazed. It is a huge park (I would say a forest!) with spaces for wandering, jogging, playing or just rest. It is quiet for reading and relaxing. It has lots of trees if you have had enough sunbathing. You can see the whole town from the walking path
