Casa Dani

4.5 ·

Head to Casa Dani, the busy market counter in Salamanca that Madrileños swear by for tortilla. Grab a seat among the bustle and share the omelette alongside cuttlefish and other classic tapas.

📖

Full description

Casa Dani occupies a counter-style space inside a covered market in the Salamanca district, and has built its reputation on tortilla de patatas. Reviewers praise the perfect texture of the omelette and the cuttlefish, while noting the room is busy and staff are constantly in motion yet still welcoming.

A minority find it does not fully live up to the hype, which is worth keeping in mind. With a 4.5 rating from over 12,000 reviews and mid-range prices, it is well suited to a quick, local-feeling breakfast or lunch, particularly for solo travellers happy to eat at a lively counter.

Reviews

Nice little place inside a market. Even if it is busy and waitress were running around, they still welcoming us with a smile and warm. The food is very very good, especially tortilla and cuttlefish. The only thing “for me of course” air condition too high when outside it is very hot.anyway 10/10 highly recommend.
