Food
Tucked inside the celebrated sketch townhouse on Conduit Street, the Lecture Room & Library is the most serious of the venue's several dining spaces, serving modern French cuisine that reviewers describe as much a visual and sensory journey as a meal. Diners can go the tasting menu route or order à la carte from a small but considered selection, reviewers mention a winter and langoustine starter, scallops, and veal among recent highlights. Its 4.8 rating, though from a comparatively small pool of reviews, points to a kitchen and room that consistently exceed expectations for those who make it here. This is a special-occasion restaurant through and through, suited to an important dinner in surroundings that are genuinely part of the experience.

"What an experience! The food is obviously of the greatest quality. It is modern French and it's more like a journey of flavours and sights. The restaurant were very accommodating as we're pescatarian and so they made changes to their tasting menu accordingly. Each menu item is really a combination of smaller dishes with amazing presentation. The grand dessert at the end is something special in itself. Staff are attentive but not overbearing. The restaurant is an experience in itself and you will be here for many hours which gives you an opportunity to take in the atmosphere and the plush decor. There are works of art scattered throughout. We came here for a special occasion and it was really worth it. Although this is a 3 star Michelin restaurant, it's not overly formal and they accommodate children (our son is 12 but we did see a family with a younger child as well)."
