Full description

Kenwood House was substantially remodelled in the 1760s by architect Robert Adam for the Earl of Mansfield, and today its interiors — including the celebrated Adam library — hold the Iveagh Bequest, a free-to-view collection of Old Masters that includes a Vermeer and a Rembrandt self-portrait. Sitting at the edge of Hampstead Heath, reviewers with a 4.7 rating repeatedly highlight the combination of serious art, free entry and expansive parkland as an unusually good deal, ideal for pairing an afternoon of culture with a long walk on the Heath.

Its high walking intensity in the data reflects just how much ground the surrounding parkland covers if you choose to explore beyond the house itself.

Reviews

Really nice house. Entry was completely free. Acres of land surrounding the house to chill out on a summers day with family. Plenty of history and fine art can be found here. I highly recommended the visit. Paid parking is available.
