Chelsea Physic Garden has been cultivating plants for scientific and medicinal study for over 350 years, sheltered by high brick walls that create a microclimate allowing unusually tender species to thrive this far north. Mature trees, historic glasshouses, and densely planted borders give it a secluded, almost secret feel despite sitting minutes from the King's Road. What people say

"This is truly a hidden gem! It’s hard to believe it’s in the middle of London, and yet when you enter, you feel like you’ve stepped into a sanctuary! A place where you can stop for a moment and just appreciate the surroundings! I joined a tour around the garden and it was fascinating to hear the history and to learn about some of the important medicinal plants. It was a hot day and there were plenty of seats especially in the shade! An absolute find and highly recommend!"
